Ojai Pilates & Fitness offers a variety of classes which are adaptable to many fitness levels and needs. Regardless of which type of class you take, Pilates will develop core strength, improve posture and flexibility, increase energy and awareness of the mind/body connection.



Personal Training helps our clients achieve their fitness goals through safe and effective exercises tailored to fit their unique physiological needs.

There are many different types of personal training techniques depending on your needs and abilities.

Using an apparatus called the Reformer, work out adding spring tension and straps on a moving carriage. We concentrate on body alignment, awareness, control and proper breathing.

The guiding philosophy behind Pilates is that you must devote yourself to your whole being, mind, body and soul, to attain good health.

Pilates exercises are designed to strengthen the body's core (i.e., the abdominal and back regions) by developing pelvic stability and abdominal control.

Mat Pilates encourages more fluidity of movement and because of this is more of a cardiovascular workout.

We perform a wide range of movement activities such as walking, jogging, running, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, lunging and climbing.

Functional strength training involves performing work against resistance in such a manner that the improvements in strength directly enhance the performance of movements so that an individual's activities of daily living are easier to perform.
